Tennis Clinic
Join professional tennis teacher Joe Spano and professional instructor Larry Avitabile on the courts for a free clinic. Bring your own racket! No fee, no pre-registration. Info 973-208-1094.

Decorated Bicycle Parade
The Knights of Columbus Joseph F. Lamb Council #5510 Oak Ridge will judge this contest. No pre-registration or fee. Decorate your bicycle for the theme “Americana.” Trophies will be awarded with judging after the parade for “Most Original,” “Funniest,” and “Best Appearing.” Trophies donated by the Old Pine Shop and medals to be awarded. Riders must wear helmets.

Time: 11:30 AM
Place: Assemble in the school bus compound driveway on Weldon Rd.

Become a pro at line dancing as you learn some great steps from this area instructor as he demonstrates his techniques with some of his students.

Inflatable Rides and Orbitron
Children will have a great time on the Giant Slide, the Balloon Typhoon, Junior Challenge, and Moonwalk inflatable rides. Defy gravity as you spin in numerous directions on the Orbitron.

Watch a demonstration of marshall art techniques by the disciplined students of this area school.

Fishing Contest
Sponsored by The Fred S. Burroughs North Jersey Chapter of Trout Unlimited for children up to and including 15 years of age. Bring your own tackle and bait! No pre-registration or fee, Catch-and-Release encouraged. Three grand prizes awarded as well as prizes per age group. NJ Division of Fish, Game, and Wildlife will make a presentation and stock the pond with pan fish from the Hackettstown Hatchery. Info: Bill Clark at 663-9598

Eight bands featuring Jefferson Township High School students will perform rock, alternative rock, metal music, etc.: After the Silence, Jonny After 4, Amphion, Stillwelle, Talking to Lois, Tyra Banks Naked, Borderline Ruffians, and Nobody’s Home.

The Covenant Brass
This five-piece Quintet plays a mix of traditional, contemporary, pop and Patriotic brass pieces and features Peter Tummillo (trumpet), Rich Douris (trombone), Bill Briggs (tuba), Dan Molendyke (french horn), and Rich Barrieres (trumpet).

The Ray Winch Band
Ray Winch-songwriter/lead vocals/acoustic guitar, Shawn Hopkins-drums, Barbara Bootz-bass, Ted Smith-lead guitar, and Terri Hammer-back vocals. Ray’s new release “Visions & Reflections” is reminiscent of the ‘70’s folk rock sound, and the band has opened for The Marshall Tucker Band and The Charlie Daniels Band.

Community Service Awards
The Jefferson Arts Committee will be recognizing individuals, businesses, and organizations in the community who exemplify their involvement in community affairs or with members of the community. Certificates of recognition will be presented at a ceremony on the main stage at 7:35 p.m. Recipients are nominated by the community at large and reviewed by a special committee. These awards are now an annual tradition in Jefferson Township. Activities of the Jefferson Arts Committee are excluded from these awards.

Jefferson Township Community Chorus
Jefferson’s own community chorus, under the direction of Richard Barrieres, makes their debut. The Chorus is composed of high school students through senior citizens. They will perform a variety of beautiful music.
