The Jefferson Arts Committee is a non-profit organization that has been incorporated since January, 1987 and is tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The purpose of the Jefferson Arts Committee is to provide cultural activities for the residents of Jefferson Township and its neighboring communities, promote an active interest in cultural affairs by the community and to encourage participation of youth in these activities.
Some of the ongoing activities of the Jefferson Arts committee include presentation of band concerts, art shows, bus trips to theaters and museums, etc, with the major event of the year being the annual "Jefferson Township Day".
Regular meetings of the Jefferson Arts Committee are held on the fourth (4th) Thursday of the month in the Jefferson Township High School Library at 7:30 P.M. Special Meetings are held as needed.
